Thanks to the introduction of ONE, Network Ten now has the opportunity to play sport LIVE - whatever time of the day or night the event occurs, in whichever part of Australia or the world it occurs AND then also replay in peak times as the viewer appetite warrants.
ONE`s programming will be made up of a range of elements, from live sport to the extended sports coverage and insights, through to special sports programs for extreme and diverse sports lovers.
Other sports to be shown on ONE include:
AFL – including the 2009 Grand Final, NBA, Major League Baseball, NFL, NCAA (college basketball), Formula 1 – all races live on ONE, NASCAR, MotoGP, IPL Cricket, Champions League Cricket, Swimming – 109 hours of swimming over the next 8 years, Golf – including the US Open, Australian Rally Championships and the next two Commonwealth Games (Delhi, Glasgow).
ONE will be available in High Definition on (digital) Channel 1 and Standard Definition on (digital) Channel 12.
If you have a High Definition Television all you need to do is flick to Channel 1. If you have a Standard Definition Digital Television simply turn to Channel 12. If you have a Standard Definition Television and are not sure if your TV is Digital, test it out by flicking to Channel 12 on your TV.
If your Television is NOT digital, head down to your local consumer electronics retailer and purchase a digital set top box – this will mean you can view Channel 12 in Standard Definition. Alternatively buy yourself an HD Television and watch the ANZ Championship in glorious High Definition.
ONE will be available via Foxtel in both SD and HD (HD availability is dependent on your Foxtel package).Two new sports shows will also feature on ONE:
