Welcome to the 2010 ANZ Championship Grand Final!
This afternoon's match promises to be a classic showdown between two of the competition’s fiercest rivals. Both the Adelaide Thunderbirds and First Windows Waikato / Bay of Plenty Magic have perfectly timed their rise to season-best form, treating us to sensational displays in their respective journeys to the Grand Final.
These are the only two teams to have made it to every Finals Series since the ANZ Championship commenced in 2008. While home teams currently have a perfect record in ANZ Championship Grand Finals, the WBOP Magic demonstrated last week that they are more than capable of winning on Australian soil.
A capacity crowd of 9,200 will start streaming in to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre from 12.30pm SA time. They will be treated to a magnificent afternoon of entertainment, including a live performance by Shannon Noll, who will perform acoustic versions of two of his most popular songs. Noll will also sing the Australian national anthem, while Alison Rae Jones will perform the New Zealand national anthem prior to match start.
