TTNL Ltd announced today that Anthony Everard has resigned from his position as General Manager, ANZ Championship.

Everard commenced as General Manager just after the league's first season, in October 2008. Under his leadership, the ANZ Championship has experienced major growth and development, both on and off the court, and is now recognised as the pre-eminent women's sporting league in Australia and New Zealand.

Everard will leave TTNL in early November to take up the role of League Manager with Cricket Australia's new T20 Big Bash competition.

TTNL Chair Raewyn Lovett said, "Anthony has been the driving force behind the ANZ Championship during its crucial development years.

"He has overseen the renewal of foundation partners SKY Sport and ANZ; strengthened the relationship with Network Ten which has transformed the way netball is seen in Australia; and built a strong team of professionals who will continue to work hard to take the competition into its next phase.

"We are obviously very disappointed that Anthony will be leaving us, however we wish him all the best with his exciting new position with Cricket Australia. They are lucky to have him!" she said.

The TTNL Board will commence searching for a new General Manager immediately.
