The changes have been thoroughly rung at Pulse by new coach Yvette McCausland-Durie, who has retained only three members of the 2008 side: rugged defender and new captain Cushla Lichtwark, resourceful shooter Jamilah Gupwell and mid-courter Neesha Wieser.
Five members of the NZ Under-21 squad, among them Silver Ferns shooter Paula Griffin (from Mystics), add considerable youthful talent and give Pulse an average age of 22.5. They’ll be supported by experienced Jamaican defender Althea Byfield, former Tactix defender Bessie Manu and wing attack Ngarama Milner.
