About the Media Awards
The Media Awards were introduced in 2009, to celebrate the quality, breadth and insight of media reporting of the ANZ Championship.
Now in its third year, the ANZ Championship has rapidly established itself as the world’s leading cross-country netball competition. It features five Australian and five New Zealand teams playing 14 home and away rounds, followed by the Finals Series in July.
The ANZ Championship Media Awards are open to all journalists, photographers and broadcasters whose work appeared in the Australian or New Zealand media between 1 March and 16 July 2010. To be eligible for selection the work must have been published with a media outlet other than the official ANZ Championship website and publications.
