ANZ Championship Best New Talent
The Best New Talent award recognises the future stars of the ANZ Championship. Formerly known as Best Young Player, it was won by Sharni Layton after her outstanding season with 2010 Champions, the Adelaide Thunderbirds. In 2011, the LG Mystics' Kayla Cullen was named the recipient on the eve of her side's first ever Grand Final appearance and in 2012 it was won by Magic's Julianna Naoupu just before her team went on to win the 2012 ANZ Championship.
Foxtel ANZ Championship People's Choice All Star Team
The Foxtel ANZ Championship People’s Choice All Star Team is voted 100% by fans. Voting will occur via our digital communications channels and will be conducted from ANZ Championship Round 10 until Round 14 (inclusive). Each voter can select seven players from any club across the competition to complete the positions of their netball team as well as select a coach. The players with the most votes in each position will become the Foxtel ANZ Championship People’s Choice All Star Team.
Grand Final Player of the Match (introduced in 2008)
Each year, an exceptional player from the Grand Final is selected and named the Player of the Match during the Grand Final presentation ceremony. The winner of Grand Final Player of the Match in 2012 was Magic's Leanna de Bruin. Previous winners include Romelda Aiken (2011), Geva Mentor (2010), Sharelle McMahon (2009) and Catherine Cox (2008).
